Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lay parchment paper on your baking sheet.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and chai spices until combined.
  3. Cut cold, cubed butter into the dry mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the orange zest. In a separate bowl, combine the cream and egg, then add to the flour mixture and stir until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface, gently knead a few times, and shape into a mound about 1-inch thick. Cut into wedges or round shapes.
