Instructions

- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the orange zest and gradually pour in the heavy cream, mixing until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and shape it into a 1-inch thick round. Cut into wedges or use a round cutter.
- Place the scones on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack and drizzle with a glaze made of icing sugar and orange juice if desired.
