- Stand-up taco shells (or soft tortillas)
- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican cheese blend)
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 cup mushrooms, diced (optional)
- Toppings: diced tomatoes, lettuce, cilantro, avocado, sour cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked.
- Add the taco seasoning and a bit of water; let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Arrange the taco shells upright in a baking dish.
- Spoon in the meat mixture and top with shredded cheese.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before adding toppings.
