- 8 slices thick-cut bacon
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 package sturdy crackers
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lay the bacon strips in a single layer on the baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes.
- Mix the brown sugar and black pepper in a small bowl.
- Remove the partially cooked bacon from the oven and sprinkle the sugar mixture over it.
- Return the bacon to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes, until crispy and caramelized.
- Let the bacon cool on a wire rack.
- Assemble the crackers by placing a pile of Parmesan on each and topping with a piece of candied bacon.
- Broil the assembled crackers for 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
