Description
A nostalgic and easy dessert combining rich peanut butter and chocolate in a fudgy, layered dump cake.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package vanilla or chocolate cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk (or plant-based milk)
- 1/2 cup melted butter (or plant-based butter)
- 1 cup smooth or chunky peanut butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, milk, and melted butter, stirring until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread a generous layer of peanut butter over the batter, followed by half of the chocolate chips.
- Pour the remaining batter over the top and sprinkle with the rest of the chocolate chips.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serve warm.
Notes
For a vegan option, use applesauce instead of eggs and plant-based milk and butter.
