Description

A nostalgic and easy dessert combining rich peanut butter and chocolate in a fudgy, layered dump cake.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package vanilla or chocolate cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk (or plant-based milk)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter (or plant-based butter)
  • 1 cup smooth or chunky peanut butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, milk, and melted butter, stirring until just combined.
  3. Pour half of the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. Spread a generous layer of peanut butter over the batter, followed by half of the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the remaining batter over the top and sprinkle with the rest of the chocolate chips.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serve warm.

Notes

For a vegan option, use applesauce instead of eggs and plant-based milk and butter.
