Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel, core, and slice the apples and toss them with cinnamon and sugar.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy, then add eggs one at a time.
- Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl and gradually mix with the wet ingredients, alternating with milk.
- Fold the apple mixture into the batter.
- Prepare the crumble topping by mixing chopped pecans, flour, brown sugar, and melted butter until crumbly.
- Assemble the cake in a greased baking dish, layering half the batter, crumble topping, and remaining batter.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
