Description

A delightful fusion of creamy cheesecake and crunchy pecans, served in layers for a sweet twist on tradition.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup fresh, toasted pecans
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs or butter cookie crumbs
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread pecans on a baking sheet and toast for 8-10 minutes.
  2. Prepare the crust by mixing graham cracker crumbs or cookie crumbs with melted butter and sugar, then press into the bottom of your serving dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Mix in sour cream and vanilla, then gradually add heavy whipping cream until fluffy.
  5. Fold in half of the toasted pecans and assemble the trifle by layering the crust, cheesecake mixture, and remaining pecans.
  6. Refrigerate for a couple of hours before serving.

Notes

Toast the pecans for enhanced flavor. Allow the trifle to chill for at least 2 hours for best results.
