Description

Juicy pork chops seared to perfection, smothered in a rich, buttery peppercorn sauce, creating a delightful mix of savory flavors.

Ingredients

  • Bone-in or boneless pork chops
  • Freshly cracked black peppercorns
  • Butter
  • Fresh garlic
  • Heavy cream
  • Low-sodium beef or chicken stock
  • Fresh herbs (thyme or parsley)

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat and sear pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  3. Lower the heat, add more butter, and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add crushed peppercorns and sauté, then pour in stock and let simmer.
  5. Whisk in the cream and let the sauce thicken (3-5 minutes).
  6. Return the pork chops to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and simmer on low for another 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer for ideal doneness at 145°F. Allow pork to rest before slicing for juicier results.
