Ingredients
- Bone-in or boneless pork chops
- Freshly cracked black peppercorns
- Butter
- Fresh garlic
- Heavy cream
- Low-sodium beef or chicken stock
- Fresh herbs (thyme or parsley)
Instructions
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat and sear pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
- Lower the heat, add more butter, and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add crushed peppercorns and sauté, then pour in stock and let simmer.
- Whisk in the cream and let the sauce thicken (3-5 minutes).
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and simmer on low for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
