Description

Delightful Peppermint Bark Hot Chocolate Bombs that combine rich chocolate with refreshing peppermint, creating a magical holiday treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz semi-sweet or milk chocolate
  • 1 cup hot cocoa mix
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy or 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 2 oz white chocolate (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Prep your molds: Clean and dry silicone molds for the hot chocolate bombs.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Melt chocolate in a microwave safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Coat the molds: Coat the inside of each mold with melted chocolate, applying 2-3 layers. Set in the fridge for 10 minutes until firm.
  4. Fill with goodness: Once hardened, fill molds with hot cocoa mix, marshmallows, and crushed peppermint, topping off with more hot cocoa mix.
  5. Seal the bombs: Heat a plate for 20 seconds, touch the edge of the empty half to it, then press onto the filled half to seal.
  6. Decorate: Drizzle melted white chocolate on top and sprinkle additional crushed peppermint.
  7. Let them set: Allow to cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate for a quicker set.
  8. Serve with love: Drop a hot chocolate bomb into a mug, pour hot milk over it, and stir to watch the explosion.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for best flavors, and consider experimenting with flavor extracts.
