Description

Delightful bite-sized treats combining crushed Oreo cookies, cream cheese, and a refreshing peppermint twist, coated in white chocolate and topped with crushed candy canes.


Ingredients

  • 24 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 8 oz white chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or a rolling pin in a zip-top bag.
  2. Mix the crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese and peppermint extract until combined.
  3. Cover and chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  4. Roll the mixture into bite-sized balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Dip each truffle into the melted white chocolate, tap off excess, and place back on the baking sheet.
  7. Sprinkle crushed candy canes on top while the chocolate is still wet.
  8. Refrigerate the truffles for about an hour to set.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute cream cheese for a dairy-free cream cheese alternative. Dark chocolate can be used for a richer coating.
