Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package Puff Pastry (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup creamy cheese (goat or mozzarella)
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs (parsley or basil)
  • 1 cup sautéed mushrooms (or substitute with spinach or roasted peppers)
  • 1/4 cup pesto or tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out your puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into triangles.
  3. Spread pesto or tomato sauce on each triangle, sprinkle with cheese, and add sautéed mushrooms or other vegetables.
  4. Roll each triangle from the wide end to the tip, pinching edges to seal.
  5. Place trees on a parchment-lined baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.
