- 1 large Onion, chopped
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Barbecue Sauce
- 4 Soft Sandwich Buns
- 1 cup Coleslaw
Instructions
- Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, and other spices; let sit for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the roast on each side until browned.
- Transfer the beef to a slow cooker, add onions, garlic, and barbecue sauce; cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
- Remove the beef, let it sit briefly, then shred and mix it back into the sauce.
- Toast sandwich buns until warm and crispy.
- Assemble the sandwich with shredded beef, coleslaw, and additional sauce if desired; serve hot.
Notes
Searing the meat adds incredible flavor. Let the meat rest before shredding for better moisture retention.
