- 1 package of crescent rolls
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup of whole or 2% milk
- 1 pound of breakfast sausage
- 1 cup of bell peppers (diced)
- 1 cup of onions (diced)
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Add diced onions and bell peppers halfway through cooking.
- Roll out the crescent rolls in a greased 9×13 baking dish, pinching the seams together.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs and milk, then fold in the cooked sausage and sautéed veggies. Pour over the crescent roll base.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is set and golden brown.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing to serve.
Notes
Feel free to substitute sausage with bacon or plant-based options. Adding fresh herbs as a garnish enhances flavor.
