- 1 box red velvet cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix, 1 egg, and melted butter. Mix until smooth, then spread evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until fluffy. Add the remaining eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy.
- Pour the creamy mixture over the red velvet base, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for about 40 minutes until set but still gooey in the center.
- Let it cool for 15 minutes before slicing. Chill for better flavor.
- Sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free red velvet cake mix. Greek yogurt can replace the cream cheese for a lighter option.
