- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, blend together peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Mix until just combined.
- Chill the dough for about 30 minutes.
- Using a cookie scoop, portion the dough and roll it into balls. Roll each ball in powdered sugar until fully coated.
- Place cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until tops are crinkled and edges are set.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend. Don’t skip the chilling step for better texture.
