- 6 cups Rice Chex or Corn Chex Cereal
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup festive sprinkles
Instructions
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and peanut butter. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and completely melted.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the rice cereal. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently fold until all pieces are evenly coated.
- Transfer the coated cereal into a large resealable plastic bag. Pour in a cup of powdered sugar and shake until the mixture is fully coated.
- After shaking, pour the cereal back into the mixing bowl, and garnish with festive sprinkles.
- Let it cool for a few minutes until the chocolate hardens slightly. Enjoy or package in clear bags for gifting.
Notes
For a nut-free version, substitute chocolate with nut-free variety and use almond butter instead of peanut butter.
