  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat, then add diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until translucent.
  2. Stir in broccoli florets and cook until tender yet crisp.
  3. Add the pasta and enough broth to cover. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
