- 2 salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (toasted or raw)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (minced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or sesame oil
- 2 green onions (sliced for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, minced garlic, and ginger. Brush this mixture over the salmon and let it marinate for 15-30 minutes.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds generously over the salmon.
- For oven method, place the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until flaky.
- For skillet method, heat the oil, cook salmon skin-side down for 4-5 minutes, flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle with soy sauce and garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes
Serve with steamed rice or a salad for a complete meal. For added spice, consider adding red pepper flakes or sriracha.
