Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1 tsp sea salt (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until creamy and fluffy.
- Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and a pinch of sea salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between them. Make a small indent in each scoop and drizzle caramel sauce on top, then cover with more cookie dough.
- Sprinkle with sea salt before baking.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and centers look soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use almond flour or oat flour. For dairy-free, substitute coconut oil for butter.
