  • 1 cup salted caramel (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup crunchy toppings (crushed pretzels or toffee bits)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the salted caramel evenly throughout the dough.
  6. Scoop out the dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Sprinkle crushed pretzels or toffee bits on top of each dough ball.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers slightly underbaked.
  9. Allow to cool on baking sheets for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
