Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 3 tablespoons white miso paste
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the miso paste, minced garlic, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil. Whisk until smooth. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they’re well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the chicken thighs skin-side down and sear for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the chicken and place the skillet in the preheated oven. Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions over the top before serving.
Notes
