Description

A delightful fusion of flavors with tender chicken thighs marinated in miso and aromatic garlic, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 3 tablespoons white miso paste
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Sliced green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the miso paste, minced garlic, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil. Whisk until smooth. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they’re well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the chicken thighs skin-side down and sear for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the chicken and place the skillet in the preheated oven. Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions over the top before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider pairing with sautéed seasonal vegetables or served alongside jasmine rice or quinoa salad.
