A creamy and flavorful dip made with fresh basil, garlic, and sautéed mushrooms, perfect for any gathering.

- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
- ½ cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups mushrooms (button, cremini, or portobello), chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the mushrooms until soft, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, around 1 minute. Remove from heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and shredded cheese. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in the sautéed mushrooms, garlic, and chopped basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish. Optionally, top with additional cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until hot and bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving with crostini or your preferred dipping options.
Notes
You can use Greek yogurt as a lighter substitute for cream cheese. Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps.
