Instructions

  1. Clean the mushrooms gently with a damp cloth and slice each into thick pieces (about ½ inch).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the egg with a splash of water.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, salt, pepper, and finely chopped herbs.
  4. Dip each mushroom slice into the egg mixture and then coat with the flour mixture.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  7. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and sprinkle with salt.
