Description

Tender, smoky pulled beef cooked in a slow cooker, perfect for family gatherings or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • Beef Chuck Roast
  • Barbecue Sauce
  • Onion (yellow or sweet)
  • Garlic (fresh)
  • Beef Broth
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Smoked Paprika (optional)
  • Cumin (optional)
  • Cayenne (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef by trimming excess fat and seasoning generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the beef in a skillet (optional) for added flavor.
  3. Layer sliced onions in the bottom of the slow cooker, place beef on top, add minced garlic, beef broth, and barbecue sauce.
  4. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  5. Remove beef, shred it while warm, and mix it back with the sauce in the slow cooker.
  6. Serve on soft buns topped with coleslaw or desired toppings.

Notes

Searing the beef enhances flavor. Make sure not to use lean cuts to avoid dry meat.
