Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat to build rich flavor.
- Add onions and garlic; sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in chopped carrots and cook until just tender.
- Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker. Add peas and herbs, and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Layer the mashed potatoes atop the meat mixture, smoothing it out evenly.

- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until heated through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
