- 1 lb Steak (Sirloin or Chuck)
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 large Onion, chopped
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp Fresh Thyme
- 1 tsp Paprika
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces.
- Marinate the Steak: Mix soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss the steak in the marinade and let soak for at least 30 minutes.
- Sautéing (Optional): Sauté marinated steak bites in a skillet over medium-high heat for a few minutes for a nice sear.
- Slow Cook: Place steak bites in the slow cooker, add onions and beef broth, sprinkle herbs and spices, and mix gently.
- Set and Forget: Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Check for Doneness: Ensure steak is tender; adjust seasoning as necessary.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or on skewers as an appetizer.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water and add it in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
