  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pulled pork and set aside.
  2. Boil salted water and cook the macaroni until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat, then whisk in flour to create a roux.
  4. Gradually add milk and cream, whisking until thickened.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheese until melted, and season with salt, pepper, and spices.
  6. Fold in the cooked pasta and pulled pork until evenly coated.
  7. Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with breadcrumbs (if using), and bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
