Description

Delightful spiced lamb samosas served with a tangy mango chutney, perfect for gatherings or cozy family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Fresh cilantro or mint, chopped
  • Pastry dough (store-bought or homemade, preferably phyllo)
  • 1 jar mango chutney
  • Oil for frying or brushing

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: Combine all-purpose flour with salt and water to form a smooth dough. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Make the filling: Sauté onions until translucent, add garlic and ginger, then mix in lamb and spices. Cook until browned.
  3. Assemble the samosas: Roll dough into circles, fill with lamb mixture, fold, and seal edges.
  4. Fry or bake: Heat oil and fry until golden, or brush with oil and bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Serve with mango chutney and enjoy!

Notes

For a healthier option, bake the samosas instead of frying them. Serve fresh herbs on the side for added flavor.
