Ingredients

- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Fresh cilantro or mint, chopped
- Pastry dough (store-bought or homemade, preferably phyllo)
- 1 jar mango chutney
- Oil for frying or brushing
Instructions
- Prepare the dough: Combine all-purpose flour with salt and water to form a smooth dough. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Make the filling: Sauté onions until translucent, add garlic and ginger, then mix in lamb and spices. Cook until browned.
- Assemble the samosas: Roll dough into circles, fill with lamb mixture, fold, and seal edges.
- Fry or bake: Heat oil and fry until golden, or brush with oil and bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes.
- Serve with mango chutney and enjoy!
Notes
For a healthier option, bake the samosas instead of frying them. Serve fresh herbs on the side for added flavor.
