Description

Crispy pastries filled with spiced lamb and served with a sweet and tangy mango chutney, perfect for gatherings and family celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 10 samosa wrappers
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Mango chutney (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until golden.
  2. Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant.
  3. Add ground lamb, season with spices, and cook until browned, about 7-10 minutes.
  4. Mix in cilantro and set the filling aside to cool.
  5. Cut samosa wrappers in half to form triangles. Whisk egg with water for an egg wash.
  6. Form triangles into cones, fill with lamb mixture, and seal edges with egg wash.
  7. Fry in hot oil until golden brown or bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Serve warm with mango chutney.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Ensure oil is hot enough before adding samosas for a crispy texture.
