  • 1 cup heavy cream (for frosting)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, blending thoroughly after each addition, and add vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients with the wet, mixing just until combined.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing it out evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow to cool completely. Meanwhile, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla.
  9. Once brownies are cooled, spread the creamy frosting generously on top, slice into squares, and serve.
