Delicious and flavorful sausage balls made with cream cheese, spicy Rotel tomatoes, and herbs, perfect for appetizers or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage (pork, turkey, or plant-based)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: smoked paprika or cayenne pepper for extra heat

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the sausage, Rotel tomatoes, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, green onions, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Allow to cool slightly and serve warm with dipping sauce.

Notes

Keep your hands lightly dampened when shaping the balls to prevent sticking. Serve with ranch dressing or spicy aioli.
