- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup whole milk, lukewarm
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Warm the milk and combine with sugar and yeast, letting it sit until foamy.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt, then add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs to form a dough.
- Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes until smooth, then let it rise in a greased bowl for about an hour.
- Prepare the filling by mixing cinnamon, brown sugar, and softened butter into a paste.
- Roll out the dough, spread the cinnamon mixture on it, and roll it into a log. Slice into rounds.
- Place the rounds on a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30-40 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Make the glaze by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
- Drizzle the glaze over warm rolls and decorate as desired.
