Description

Crispy and tender steak strips coated in seasoned breadcrumbs, perfect for family gatherings and comforting dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sirloin or flank steak
  • 1 cup plain or panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika or cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Flour for dredging
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Slice the steak into strips about 1 inch wide and 4 inches long.
  2. Tenderize the meat slightly with a mallet if using a tougher cut.
  3. Create a breading station with three bowls: one for seasoned flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs mixed with paprika.
  4. Dip the steak strips into the seasoned flour, shaking off excess flour.
  5. Dip the strips in the egg, ensuring they are thoroughly coated.
  6. Press the strips into the breadcrumb mixture to cover completely.
  7. In a large skillet, heat about half an inch of oil over medium heat.
  8. Carefully place the breaded steak fingers in the skillet, avoiding overcrowding.
  9. Cook for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  10. Drain on paper towels and serve with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

For best results, ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to avoid sogginess.
