- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sliced almonds

- ¼ cup honey (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- To make the crust, combine flour, granulated sugar, and unsalted butter in a food processor. Pulse until crumbly. Press into a pie dish and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
- For the filling, combine sliced strawberries, brown sugar, and almond extract in a mixing bowl. Toss gently and let the mixture macerate.
- Prepare the topping by mixing sliced almonds, brown sugar, flour, and softened butter in a bowl until crumbly.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into the crust and sprinkle the almond crumble on top.
- Bake for another 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!
