Description
A comforting and delicious stuffed garlic bread filled with gooey cheese and sautéed mushrooms, perfect for family gatherings or casual get-togethers.
Ingredients

- 1 French or Italian loaf
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup cremini or button mushrooms, chopped
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in chopped mushrooms and cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
- Slice the loaf in half lengthwise and hollow out some of the inner bread.
- Combine sautéed garlic and mushrooms with shredded cheeses and fresh herbs, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Spread remaining butter on cut sides of the bread.
- Fill the hollowed loaf with the cheese mixture, adding extra cheese on top.
- Wrap in aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes; then remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden and bubbling.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.
Notes
For a plant-based version, use vegan cheese alternatives. You can swap mushrooms for spinach or artichokes for a lighter filling.
