- 8 oz mushrooms (button or cremini)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream or mayonnaise
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (Parmesan or mozzarella)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tsp fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter (for sautéing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Clean the mushrooms and remove stems, chopping them finely.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté mushroom stems and garlic until golden (5-7 minutes).
- In a bowl, mix sautéed mushrooms with cream cheese, sour cream, herbs, and cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Stuff each mushroom cap with the mixture and place in a baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until mushrooms are tender and filling is golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For a spicier version, add crushed red pepper or jalapeño. This dip is versatile and can be paired with various dippers.
