A creamy and savory dip made with earthy mushrooms, cream cheese, and fresh herbs, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz mushrooms (button or cremini)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or mayonnaise
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (Parmesan or mozzarella)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter (for sautéing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean the mushrooms and remove stems, chopping them finely.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté mushroom stems and garlic until golden (5-7 minutes).
  4. In a bowl, mix sautéed mushrooms with cream cheese, sour cream, herbs, and cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  5. Stuff each mushroom cap with the mixture and place in a baking dish.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until mushrooms are tender and filling is golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For a spicier version, add crushed red pepper or jalapeño. This dip is versatile and can be paired with various dippers.
