Description
A delightful peach tart that captures the essence of summer with its buttery crust and juicy peach filling.
Ingredients
Scale
- 5–6 medium fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 tart crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- If making a homemade tart crust, combine flour, cold butter, and a pinch of salt until crumbly. Add cold water until a dough forms, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Slice the peaches and mix them with sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Let sit for 15 minutes.
- Roll out the chilled dough and place it in the tart pan, poking holes in the bottom.
- Pour the peach mixture into the crust, arranging the slices attractively.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until the crust is golden and juices bubble.
- Cool for 15 minutes before slicing and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
