Description

A delicious blend of tangy teriyaki sauce and sweet caramelized pineapple on a juicy burger patty, perfect for summer cookouts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 fresh pineapple, sliced
  • 4 brioche or sesame seed burger buns
  • 1 cup crisp lettuce (romaine or butter)
  • Optional toppings: avocado, crispy bacon, cheese

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef (or turkey) and half the teriyaki sauce. Form into patties slightly larger than the buns.
  2. Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a touch of oil.
  3. Grill patties for 5-7 minutes on each side, basting with remaining teriyaki sauce. Ensure internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for beef or 165°F (74°C) for turkey.
  4. During the last few minutes of cooking, grill pineapple slices for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Toast burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  6. Assemble burgers by layering lettuce, the grilled patty, caramelized pineapple, and any additional toppings.
  7. Serve immediately, preferably with sweet potato fries or a light salad.
