Description
Delicious Tuna Patties that bring warmth and joy to every meal, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans of canned tuna (drained)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
- 2 eggs
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or chives)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, flake the drained tuna with a fork, ensuring there are no large chunks left.
- Add breadcrumbs, chopped onion, eggs, and chosen herbs. Season generously with salt and pepper, along with a splash of lemon juice.
- Using your hands, shape the mixture into patties about 3 inches in diameter.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Gently place the patties in the skillet, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Transfer cooked patties to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite sauce or alongside fresh greens.
Notes
Chill the patties in the fridge for 15-20 minutes before cooking to help them hold their shape.
