Description

Delicious Tuna Patties that bring warmth and joy to every meal, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans of canned tuna (drained)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or chives)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, flake the drained tuna with a fork, ensuring there are no large chunks left.
  2. Add breadcrumbs, chopped onion, eggs, and chosen herbs. Season generously with salt and pepper, along with a splash of lemon juice.
  3. Using your hands, shape the mixture into patties about 3 inches in diameter.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  5. Gently place the patties in the skillet, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  6. Transfer cooked patties to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite sauce or alongside fresh greens.

Notes

Chill the patties in the fridge for 15-20 minutes before cooking to help them hold their shape.
