- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix until fully combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the sprinkles gently, saving some to sprinkle on top before baking.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow them to cool on the baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
These cookies can be frosted or enjoyed plain. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
