Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix until fully combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the sprinkles gently, saving some to sprinkle on top before baking.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow them to cool on the baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

These cookies can be frosted or enjoyed plain. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
