  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup crushed peppermint candy canes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the peppermint extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chips.
  7. Using a cookie scoop, drop dough balls onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden but the centers remain soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool before transferring to racks. Optionally, sprinkle crushed candy canes on top.
