Description

  • 3 Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, cold butter, and salt until crumbly.
  2. Gradually mix in cold water until a dough forms.
  3. Wrap the dough and chill for 1 hour.
  4. Core and slice apples; mix with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and chopped pecans.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  6. Spread apple filling on the dough and fold over to seal.
  7. Brush with egg wash and bake at 375°F for 30-35 minutes.
  8. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla for frosting.
  9. Drizzle frosting over the warm kringle.
