- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Mix flour, cold butter, and salt until crumbly.
- Gradually mix in cold water until a dough forms.
- Wrap the dough and chill for 1 hour.
- Core and slice apples; mix with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and chopped pecans.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread apple filling on the dough and fold over to seal.
- Brush with egg wash and bake at 375°F for 30-35 minutes.
- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla for frosting.
- Drizzle frosting over the warm kringle.
Notes
