Instructions
- Rinse your rice under cold water until it runs clear.
- Sauté the garlic in oil or butter over medium heat for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Add turmeric and stir for 30 seconds.
- Incorporate the rinsed rice, stirring to coat with the mixture.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and add salt; bring to a boil.
- Simmer on low, covered, for about 15 minutes until cooked and liquid is absorbed.
- Fluff with a fork and serve with an extra sprinkle of turmeric or fresh herbs.
Notes
For gluten-free, substitute rice with quinoa. Feel free to add sautéed mushrooms or leafy greens for extra flavor.
