Description

A delicious combination of grilled chicken breasts topped with sautéed mushrooms, melted cheese, and crispy bacon, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup fresh button or cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 slices crispy bacon
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 cup honey mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme, for garnish
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Butter, for sautéing mushrooms

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix honey mustard, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken and coat thoroughly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, fry the bacon until crispy. Remove and reserve drippings.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter if needed and sauté sliced mushrooms until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add marinated chicken to the skillet and cook over medium heat for 6-8 minutes per side or until cooked through.
  5. Top each chicken piece with sautéed mushrooms, crispy bacon, and a slice of cheese. Cover to melt cheese, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Transfer to plates, drizzle with remaining marinade, and garnish with fresh herbs.
