Description

A warm and inviting dish featuring juicy baked pears topped with creamy goat cheese, drizzled with honey, and sprinkled with tart cranberries.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe pears (Bartlett or Bosc)
  • 1 cup goat cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup cranberries (fresh or dried)
  • 1/2 cup nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice pears in half lengthwise and remove the cores.
  3. Place halved pears cut side up in a baking dish. Crumble goat cheese into the cavities.
  4. Sprinkle cranberries on top, followed by chopped nuts if desired.
  5. Generously drizzle honey over each pear half.
  6. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, until the pears are tender and the cheese starts to brown slightly.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes, and serve warm.

Notes

Don’t rush the baking process; ensure the pears are tender but not mushy.
