- 4 ripe tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sour lime juice
- 1 sweet onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
- 1 jalapeño (or bell pepper for a milder salsa)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Wash all vegetables thoroughly. Chop them into smaller chunks if desired.
- In a blender, combine tomatoes, lime juice, onion, and garlic. Pulse until desired consistency is reached.
- Add cilantro, jalapeño, and salt. Blend again, being careful not to over-blend.
- Taste the salsa and adjust seasoning with more salt or lime juice as needed.
- Chill the salsa in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to enhance flavors.
