Scale
  • 4 ripe tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sour lime juice
  • 1 sweet onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 jalapeño (or bell pepper for a milder salsa)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Wash all vegetables thoroughly. Chop them into smaller chunks if desired.
  2. In a blender, combine tomatoes, lime juice, onion, and garlic. Pulse until desired consistency is reached.
  3. Add cilantro, jalapeño, and salt. Blend again, being careful not to over-blend.
  4. Taste the salsa and adjust seasoning with more salt or lime juice as needed.
  5. Chill the salsa in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to enhance flavors.

Notes

Great served with tortilla chips, grilled meats, or as a topping for tacos.
