Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare the brownie batter: In a medium bowl, melt unsalted butter in the microwave. Stir in granulated sugar until combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly. Stir in cocoa, flour, and baking powder.
- Make the cookie dough: Cream together unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually mix in flour and baking soda, followed by the chocolate chips.
- Layer the batter: Pour brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spread evenly and drop spoonfuls of cookie dough on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool for about 15 minutes before lifting out and cutting into squares.
- Tip: Drizzle melted chocolate on top after cooling for an extra treat!
