- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, stirring constantly until it turns golden brown and smells nutty (5-7 minutes).
- Cool the brown butter slightly.
- In a bowl, whisk together granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each, then stir in bourbon.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in pecans and chocolate chunks.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
