- 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and chopped
- 1 cup dairy-free milk (almond, coconut, or oat)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Sweetener to taste (agave, maple syrup, or sugar substitute)
- Ice
- Whipped coconut cream (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Pit and chop the fresh cherries, reserving a few for garnish.
- In a saucepan, combine cherries and a splash of water; simmer for 5-10 minutes until softened.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly; blend until smooth.
- In a glass, combine dairy-free milk, cherry syrup, and vanilla extract; stir gently.
- Fill a glass with ice and pour the cherry vanilla mixture over it.
- Optional: Top with whipped coconut cream or extra cherries for garnish.
Notes
This drink can be customized with other fruits like strawberries or blueberries if cherries are unavailable.
