- 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning or fresh herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
- Sauté the chicken in a skillet with melted butter, seasoning with salt and pepper until cooked through.
- Prepare the alfredo sauce by sautéing garlic in butter, adding heavy cream, and stirring in Parmesan until smooth, then seasoning.
- Combine cooked pasta, chicken, and alfredo sauce in a bowl, mixing in mozzarella.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with additional mozzarella and Italian seasoning.
- Bake covered for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. Add vegetables like spinach for extra nutrients.
